At & CAT STUDIO, your cat’s health and wellbeing are our top priority. To create a safe and stress-free environment for all guests, we have clear admission requirements covering age, vaccinations, sterilisation, parasite prevention, and health documentation. Please review these carefully before booking your cat’s stay.

Age

We board kittens at least 10 weeks old, adult and senior cats. We do not board end-of-life, pregnant, kittening and nursing cats.

Reference: Cat Life Stages

  • Kitten: Up to 12 months old
  • Young Adult: 1 to 6 years old
  • Mature Adult: 7 to 10 years old
  • Senior: 10 years and older

Vaccinations (14 Days Prior Intended Stay)

In accordance with guidelines from Animal & Veterinary Service (AVS), all boarding cats must be vaccinated at least 14 days before the intended stay date/time.

The 4-in-1 vaccine is against:

  •       Feline Parvovirus/Panleukopenia (FPV)
  •       Feline Calicivirus (FCV)
  •       Feline Herpes virus/Rhinotracheitis (FHV)

Vaccination against Feline Chlamydiosis is strongly recommended.

Urgent Circumstances and Deviations

If your cat cannot meet vaccination timelines, we may accept them based on a veterinarian’s memo. In these cases, we are required to notify the AVS and keep your cat in isolation for the duration needed.

If your cat is not eligible for vaccination, valid alternatives must include:

  • Titer Antibody Blood Test with a vet’s confirmation of boarding suitability
  • Vet memo confirming temporary unsuitability for vaccination (due to illness, recovery from infection, viral or fungal infection (eg. ringworm)

Possible scenarios for your cat/s include:

  • Unsuitability for vaccination or booster shot due to health/age-related reasons
  • Recovery from illness, bacterial, viral or fungal infection (eg: ringworm)
  • Recovery from parasite infestation (eg: fleas, ticks, mites)
  • Skin allergy to topical spot-on preventives

Upon request by AVS, we will produce for checks all properly documented reasons for deviation.

Kittens

Kittens must be:

  • At least 10 weeks old of age to be boarded.
  • Must have received at least one 4-in-1 vaccination.

For kittens, they are to have completed the required vaccination against feline panleukopenia, feline rhinotracheitis, and feline calicivirus for the duration of the boarding period.  The full vaccination schedule is:

  •  1st core vaccination: 6-8 weeks of age
  •  2nd core vaccination: 9-12 weeks of age
  •  3rd core vaccination: 12-16 weeks of age

Should the vaccination be incomplete, a veterinarian must certify that the kitten is suitable for boarding. For safety reasons, kittens may be required to remain in their rooms during their stay.

Sterilisation

Your cat must be sterilised if he/she is 6 months old or displaying signs of sexual maturity.

For a kitten yet to be sterilised, a veteriarian must ceritfy suitability for boarding.
